January 1975<\/th>Established Honda Kogyo Co., Ltd.
Started factory-wide maintenance operations, mainly focusing on cleaning at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Kyushu Plant.<\/td><\/tr>
February 1983<\/th>Established Honda Machinery Co., Ltd. in Yokohama.
Started operations in drawing translation at Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. Technical Center.<\/td><\/tr>
January 1986<\/th>Opened the Tokyo Sales Office.
Started operations involving shipment of promotional materials and editing of service manuals for Nissan Koei Co., Ltd.<\/td><\/tr>
June 1987<\/th>Mr. Keiichi Honda appointed as President and Representative Director.
Following the passing of the founder, President Tomeo Honda, Keiichi Honda assumed the position of President.<\/td><\/tr>
October 1987<\/th>Changed the company name to Homac Co., Ltd.
As part of the business restructuring of Honda Machinery Co., Ltd., the company name was changed to Homac Co., Ltd.<\/td><\/tr>
September 1988<\/th>Opened the Shimbashi Sales Office.
Took over the management and operations of Plus One Kikaku Co., Ltd. and established the Shimbashi Sales Office.<\/td><\/tr>
November 1988<\/th>Changed the company name to Heads Co., Ltd.
Merged Honda Kogyo Co., Ltd. and Homac Co., Ltd., and established the Kyushu Division and Tokyo Division.<\/td><\/tr>
June 1991<\/th>Established a manufacturing department within the Kyushu Division.<\/td><\/tr>
April 1992<\/th>Opened the Information Systems Kitakyushu Sales Office and launched a computer software development business.<\/td><\/tr>
October 1992<\/th>Relocated the Yokohama Design Office to the headquarters and integrated the design and manufacturing departments.
Established a System Design Section within the Kyushu Division.<\/td><\/tr>
April 1993<\/th>Relocated the Information Systems Section from the Kitakyushu Sales Office to the headquarters.<\/td><\/tr>
May 1994<\/th>Closed the Shimbashi Sales Office and relocated the Tokyo Division to the Hamura Sales Office.<\/td><\/tr>
April 1995<\/th>Started a motor control product development business.<\/td><\/tr>
June 1996<\/th>Integrated the Information Systems Section into the System Design Section.
Expanded operations from computer software development to software development for motor control products, enhancing labor-saving equipment and motor control products.<\/td><\/tr>
January 1998<\/th>Established a Product Development Preparation Office within the Kyushu Division to strengthen the development of motor control products and new products.<\/td><\/tr>
April 1998<\/th>Started a welfare equipment development business.<\/td><\/tr>
October 1999<\/th>Began the development of high-efficiency, lightweight, compact arc welding machines.<\/td><\/tr>
April 2000<\/th>Relocated the Tokyo Division to Musashimurayama City.
The development of wheelchair travel safety devices was approved for NEDO Welfare Equipment Development Subsidy.<\/td><\/tr>
August 2000<\/th>The wheelchair travel safety device under development received the Excellence Award at the Japan Rehabilitation Engineering Association Welfare Equipment Contest.<\/td><\/tr>
January 2001<\/th>Integrated the System Design Section and the Product Development Preparation Office to establish the HiX Business Division, strengthening the expansion of original in-house products.<\/td><\/tr>
March 2001<\/th>Succeeded in developing the wheelchair travel safety device with support from the NEDO Welfare Equipment Development Subsidy and began efforts toward commercialization.<\/td><\/tr>
June 2001<\/th>Successfully developed a high-efficiency, lightweight, compact arc welding machine and began sales.<\/td><\/tr>
January 2003<\/th>Launched the Nano Arc 5500, a compact battery-powered welding machine.<\/td><\/tr>
January 2006<\/th>Launched the Nano Arc 6000, the successor to the Nano Arc 5500.<\/td><\/tr>
July 2006<\/th>Strengthened the sales, technical, and production departments through increasing staff in the HiX Business Division.<\/td><\/tr>
October 2006<\/th>Began production of multi-functional models through improvements in AGV control technology.<\/td><\/tr>
February 2007<\/th>Promoted the Maintenance Section to a Business Division to strengthen operations.<\/td><\/tr>
August 2007<\/th>Due to business expansion, established Sales & Technical Sections 1\u20133 and an AGV Development Project within the HICS Business Division.
Aimed to strengthen and streamline the design system for AGVs and automotive equipment.<\/td><\/tr>
August 2007<\/th>Began production of high-efficiency chargers through improvements in the conductivity of non-contact automatic chargers.<\/td><\/tr>
July 2008<\/th>Recognized under the Fukuoka Prefecture Robot Development Technology Enhancement Project and received development subsidies.<\/td><\/tr>
April 2009<\/th>Succeeded in achieving high-efficiency charging for non-contact automatic chargers and began sales for AGV use.
Group company Five A Japan Co., Ltd. started a staffing business.<\/td><\/tr>
July 2010<\/th>Selected by the Kitakyushu Industrial Academic Promotion Organization Foundation for a mini demonstration project of low-carbon technology base formation and began development of a driving charging system.<\/td><\/tr>
April 2011<\/th>Established a Quality Inspection Department.<\/td><\/tr>
October 2011<\/th>Started a terrestrial digital TV reception business.<\/td><\/tr>
June 2012<\/th>Started a smart grid-related business, enhancing automatic charging devices for AGVs and beginning sales of AGV driving charging systems.<\/td><\/tr>
October 2013<\/th>Commercialized products through the advancement of omnidirectional sensor technology and vehicle control technology for AGVs, and constructed a Smart AGV System.<\/td><\/tr>
March 2014<\/th>Relocated the headquarters, began manufacturing Smart AGVs, and fully launched the material handling and transport systems business.<\/td><\/tr>
December 2014<\/th>The project \u201cDevelopment and Demonstration of Transport and Production Systems Utilizing Robot Technology\u201d was selected as a demonstration project by the Fukuoka Prefecture Robot Industry Promotion Council.<\/td><\/tr>
